Ans: Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. Aero India is India's premier aerospace and defence exhibition where global aero vendors and the Indian Air Force (IAF) thrill the spectators with back-to-back aerobatic flying displays.
Ans: Aero India 2025 will be held from 10th to 14th February 2025 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The first three days are dedicated to business visitors, while the last two days are open to the general public.
Ans: The first Aero India show was held at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, in 1996, organized by the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.
Ans: The exhibition will run from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM each day. Please refer to the terms and condition for more details.
Ans: Yelahanka Air Force Station is about 25 kilometers from Bangaluru city, towards Kempegowda International Airport. The journey from Kempegowda International Airport to Yelahanka Air Force Station by road takes approximately 40-45 minutes. It is recommended to use a taxi service or public transportation due to limited and distant parking options. Shuttle buses are available between parking areas and the exhibition gate.

Ans: Yes, parking is available at designated locations:

  1. GKVK and Jakkur campuses: For the general public.
  2. Shuttle service: BMTC buses shuttle visitors between GKVK, Jakkur Aerodrome, and the ADVA parking at Yelahanka
  3. Car passes: Available for a fee (cost TBC) for Indian and foreign nationals.
Ans: Yes, you can bring a DSLR or camera to capture the air show. However, drones are strictly prohibited both inside and outside the event premises.

Ans: Follow these steps to register:

  • Select the "Register" link in the top-right corner.
  • Choose "Visitor Registration" from the dropdown menu.
  • Complete the registration process.
  • Once Registered use login for accessing the ticket booking module.
  • Follow the instructions given in the dashboard.
  • Business Passes: INR 5,000 for Indian nationals and USD 150 for foreign nationals (inclusive of GST).
  • ADVA Passes: INR 1,000 for Indian nationals and USD 50 for foreign nationals (inclusive of GST).
  • General Visitor Passes: INR 2,500 for Indian nationals and USD 50 for foreign nationals (on public days)(inclusive of GST).

Ans: Follow these steps to register:

  • Choose "Exhibitor" from the dropdown menu.

Ans: Registration payment for

  1. Indian Exhibitors: Can be done while registering using online mode. SBI payment Gateway and Razorpay payment gateway is available for Indian Exhibitors.
  2. Foreign Exhibitors: Can be done while registering using online mode. SBI International payment Gateway, Razorpay payment gateway and payment through SWIFT is available for Foreign Exhibitors.
Ans: Registration fees are INR 40,000 (for Indian companies) and USD 700 (for foreign companies), inclusive of GST. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more details.
Ans: Participation charges for exhibitors depend on the type of space and location and date of booking. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more details.
Ans: Yes, students are welcome to attend the Aero India show. Tickets can be purchased online. There are three categories: General, ADVA (Air Display Viewing Area), and Business. While the last two days are open to the general public. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more details.

  • The exhibition is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with air shows held twice daily—once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
  • Bring a hat/cap and sunscreen, as the event is outdoors.
  • Plan to arrive early.
  • Parking is available, but it can take up to 1.5 hours to find a spot. Taking a cab or public transport is recommended. Shuttle buses will take you from parking areas to the event gates.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for long walking distances.
  • Carry cash in case digital payments like UPI or card transactions are unavailable.
  • Always carry a valid government ID, as there will be multiple security checks.

Ans: The key objective is to achieve self-reliance and self-sufficiency in national defence by embracing the principles of identify, incubate, innovate, integrate, and indigenize. iDEX seeks to establish an ecosystem that supports innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology development specifically in the Defence and Aerospace sectors. At its core, iDEX promotes a culture of co-creation and co-innovation, fostering collaboration and advancement in these essential fields.
Ans: iDEX provides various opportunities for startups and MSMEs in the defence sector, including funding, mentorship from experts, and access to research facilities. It encourages networking among entrepreneurs, established companies, and government agencies, helping them connect with potential customers. Additionally, iDEX supports rapid prototyping, and promotes the creation of homegrown technologies, fostering a vibrant ecosystem
Ans: iDEX conducts various events/activities at Aero India viz. Manthan, iDEX Pavilion, and participates in India Pavilion.
Ans: Manthan, as the name suggests, will be a platform for dynamic brainstorming sessions centered on the defence ecosystem. This flagship innovation event is inaugurated by the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. It is set to take place at the Air Force Auditorium in Yelahanka/Aero India venue. The event will showcase cutting-edge technologies, host a talk show, facilitate an investors’ meet, and unveil new initiatives, along with highlighting successful projects within the iDEX ecosystem.
Ans: The iDEX Pavilion during Aero India is a dedicated exhibition space at Aero India which showcases India's aerospace and defence capabilities, and cutting-edge technologies developed by the iDEX winners. The pavilion highlights innovations in aviation technology, defence systems, and indigenous manufacturing efforts, promoting collaboration and investment in the defence sector. It is also a platform for networking among industry professionals, government officials, and international participants.
Ans: Defence startups associated with iDEX can express their interest at startup-ai2019[at]gov[dot]in for participation in iDEX Pavilion. Non-iDEX winners, on the other hand, should contact the Partner Incubators (PIs) associated with iDEX to submit their proposals. Startups recommended by these partner incubators will have the opportunity to participate and showcase their cutting-edge innovations.
Ans: The India Pavilion at Aero India showcases the country’s advancements in aerospace and defence, emphasizing initiatives like "Make in India." It features innovative technologies, interactive displays, and participation from both established companies and startups. The pavilion serves as a hub for networking, fostering collaborations, and promoting India’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing, while also highlighting opportunities for investment and international partnerships in the sector. Additionally, around 20 marquee iDEX winners with their products are likely to be showcased in the India Pavilion.
Ans: The Manthan event will be live streamed on the iDEX and DDP social media channels.

Ans: It is not possible to reserve Space. Space booking is done through online mode only. The space once released by one exhibitor will become available for online booking.
Ans: Booking of space is allowed only through online mode on First come First Serve basis. DEO cannot book space on anyone’s behalf.
Ans: Space charges are given in detail in Terms and Conditions which can be downloaded from https://www.aeroindia.gov.in/assets/front/terms_n_condition.pdf .
Ans: Pre booking of space is not allowed as booking is done only through the online mode.
Ans: No, space can be booked subject to a minimum area of 12 sq. meter.
Ans: MSME booking space 12 sqm will be given a 50% discount at time of making final payment. MSME booking >12Sqm is not eligible for any discount. MSME is to submit proof of MSME to avail the discount which will be given post verification of documents (documents i.e Udhyam Registration No(UAM)).

Note:- Foreign exhibitors are not eligible for MSME discount.
Ans: No, conversion of space is not allowed. However if you want to book space in another hall or change space type then you have to first release the space that you have reserved then book the available space. However, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a confirmed booking.
Ans: Space are to be booked online and the fastest fingers would book space first. You may wait for other halls to be opened or provisional space to be released.
Ans: There has been an overwhelming response for space booking through the online portal which has led to many of our esteemed exhibitors not getting the required space of their size and location. Provision for extra hangers to accommodate requirements is being explored and will be communicated shortly.
Ans: Yes, Static Display Space will be available to book online. It will be intimated on website shortly.
Ans: Information regarding Halls opening will be available 48 hours prior to opening on Aero India website. Please login regularly on the Aero India website for updates.
Ans: Extension for payment is provided if there are any technical problems and requests along with payment proof is to be sent to DEO email ceo.defex-mod[at]gov[dot]in .
Ans: Yes, registration charge of Rs 40,000 will be adjusted in final payment of space booking.
Ans: If you have already made the payment on/before due date and it is not confirmed then forward the proof of payment to DEO/DPIT. The Space will be kept provisionally booked till confirmation of payment is received.
Ans: All the registered Co-Exhibitors will be included in exhibitor directory/Catalogue entry, B2B meetings ( if they are participating ).
Ans: Yes, you can join as a Co-Exhibitor using assistance from the main exhibitor who has booked the Space. He will have to add you as a Co-Exhibitor and pay the registration fees of Rs 40,000 separately.
Ans: Yes, multiple foreign representatives can be registered under a single stall as co-exhibitors although the main exhibitor has to add each representative as Co-Exhibitor and needs to pay registration fees separately.
Ans: Exhibitors who have booked raw space will have to get their interior designed by Official Fabricator or by any Contractor registered for the event. The details of Official fabricator once nominated will be available on Aero India website and Exhibitor Manual.
Ans: All the requisite and necessary details regarding fabrication of stalls will be available on the website in Exhibitor Manual by early Dec 2024.
Ans: To change email id after registration you have to forward a email to aeroindia-ddp[at]gov[dot]in a formal letter on your company’s letter head signed by your company’s CEO/CMD/Director.

Distinguished LOs, we heartily welcome you all for the Aero India 2025 - Liaison Officer Role. We sincerely thank your esteemed organization for identifying you for the prestigious role of Liaisoning Officers during the Aero India event which will be attended by delegates from India & Abroad.

It is heartening to know that you all are serving at senior roles in your organizations and aware of the Liaisoning officer roles. This edition of Aero India is scheduled from 10th Feb 2025 up to 14th Feb 2025 at Yelahanka Air force station, Bengaluru, Karnataka. As you all are aware, Aero India is a prestigious global event and will be attended by dignitaries from around the globe.

The primary goal of the Liaisoning activity is to ensure that the visiting dignitaries are warmly welcomed and provided with the best hospitality and seamless logistics during their visit. We conduct ourselves in such a manner that we leave lasting impression on the dignitaries and reinforce the time immemorial Indian belief of "Athithi Devo Bhava".

In this quest of excellence, we seek co-operation from you all in making this a memorable experience for the dignitaries.

Keeping in view the expectation of the LO role, we have tried to prepare FAQs which will be handy and enable you all to perform better. With these FAQs, we hope that you all will be able to seamlessly discharge your duties.

Ans:
  • LOs are expected to conduct themselves with highest standards & shall be faultless.
  • The manners are expected to be impeccable. The outlook should be smart and behavior should be courteous and polite.
  • LOs are expected to be available ahead of time to ensure the delegates are seamlessly taken to the venues. Always be in the attire as per the guidelines.
  • LOs shall not involve in any argument with the guest & do not accept any courtesy.
  • LOs shall not post any photo/information on social media or any public domain.
  • LOs shall not give opinion on political scenario / or on Govt. / any Political party.
  • Please do not divulge any technical information / price.
  • Service LOs are requested not to divulge your posting / locations of your posting
  • LOs shall talk specific to the point and only when required.
  • LOs to steer clear of Gutkha, Paan Masala, Tobacco, Alcohol etc.
  • Please do not leave Delegates at any point of time without permission and informing the Control Room.

  • LO’s should always show presence of mind in dealing with situations.
  • LOs can seek the help of Integrated Master Control room while dealing with such situation.
  • LOs shall be aware of hospitality extended, limitations etc.

  • LOs shall always carry appropriate IDs issued by the Organization.

  • LOs shall always attend the phone calls from Control Rooms & Keep mobile phone operational/active all the times for receiving instructions from time to time.
  • May take suitable measures to ensure phone is always charges (Chargers/power bank should be kept handy).
  • LOs shall not demonstrate impolite behavior on phone or during personal interactions.
  • LOs shall readily have details of all important contact numbers (Control Room, Held Desk, Guest, Office In-charge, DA, Protocol Officer, Drivers etc.) and details of major programmes. (i.e. Inauguration, Seminars, Reception, the Chief Guests, Bandhan Event etc.).

  • Information given can be limited to the extent of details sought. (except defense related classified information). if readily not known, the same may be obtained later and conveyed otherwise connect to the right individual without undue delay.
  • Always keep information readily available pertaining to various important tourist/Sightseeing places in and around Bengaluru for the Delegates.

  • Trip Sheet of vehicles to be closed by LO’s every day. (Signature, Name, Organization, Entry Km, and Exit Km).

  • No. LOs will be available for communication 24x7.
Ans:
  • Yes. Exclusive training will be given to LOs outlining roles and responsibilities, DO's & DONT's.
  • Sufficient training sessions will be conducted online. In addition, formal training session will be conducted before the start of Aero India 2025 event.
  • Visits to Arrival & Departure terminals of KIA (Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru) will be conducted. Also, visit to IAF station Yelahanka will be conducted to familiarize the LOs about Entry and Exit gates, Inaugural function area, Exhibition halls, Food Court, Chalet area, Parking area, medical center area and other important locations.
Ans:
  • LOs may please informed that movement of delegates beyond the Bengaluru jurisdiction will demand additional protocols and security arrangements. Hence, LOs are requested to pass on such information to Master control center and seek guidance.
  • Master control center will assess the situation and provide guidance on case to case basis.

    3. Approve the details.
    4. Download the pass after approval.

  • Steps for Booking ADVA Passes:
    1. Purchase the ADVA pass via the Aero India Portal.
    2. Fill in individual details and select your preferred mode of conveyance to the ADVA venue (options include free bus ride, free parking with shuttle, or personal vehicle).
    3. Approve the details.
    4. Download the ADVA pass and conveyance pass.

    Note: If using your own vehicle, you will need to pay INR 300 (Indian visitor) or USD 5 (Foreign visitor) for parking.

Ans: Yes, it is mandatory to fill in and approve the details of the person visiting Aero India 2025 before downloading the pass.
Ans: Yes, the passes are valid according to the time/date mentioned on the downloaded pass. Make sure to check the details carefully.

Ans: Yes, if you wish to use your own vehicle, you can park at the designated GKVK Ground and take the shuttle to the ADVA area. If you choose to use your personal vehicle for restricted area access, an additional fee applies (INR 300 for Indian visitors, USD 5 for foreign visitors).
Ans: Entry into the exhibition area is based on Exhibitor Badges issued by the Organiser/DEO. Each exhibitor is entitled to a set number of passes based on the space booked for their exhibition.
  • For 12 Sqm space booked:

    Each exhibitor will receive 3 passes for the exhibition days.

  • For additional space booked:

    Additional passes will be provided in multiples of the space booked (e.g., for 24 Sqm, 6 passes will be provided).

  • Exhibitor Invitees:

    Exhibitors will receive 1 Invitee (valid for single entry and 1 day) for every 2 Sqm of space booked, free of charge.

Ans:
  • For additional badges beyond the complimentary allocation:
    • Indian Exhibitors: INR 5000 per badge (inclusive of GST)
    • Foreign Exhibitors: USD 150 per badge (inclusive of GST)

These badges are necessary for any extra staff requiring access to the exhibition area.

Ans: No, entry of vehicles into the Exhibition Complex is not permitted during exhibition hours and any other hours specified by the event organisers.

Ans:
  • Exhibitor Badges: These badges provide access only to the Exhibition Area.
  • Chalet Badges: These badges allow access to both the Chalet Area and the Exhibition Area.
  • Air Crew Badges: These badges provide access to the Tarmac Area.
  • Ground Crew Badges: These badges are for personnel working for Air Craft Display.

  • Exhibitor Badges: Exhibitors will be allotted Exhibitor Badges based on the space they book.
    • For 12 Sqm of space booked, each exhibitor will be entitled to 3 Exhibitor Badges (valid for exhibition days).
    • Chalet Badges: For 12 Sqm of space booked, each exhibitor will be entitled to 3 Exhibitor Badges (valid for exhibition days).
  • Air Crew and Ground Crew Badges:
    • These badges will be allotted by the DEO (Defence Exhibition Organisation) only after a request is raised by the exhibitor having registered aircraft for static and flying display.
Ans:
  • Exhibitor Badges: Access to the Exhibition Area only.
  • Chalet Badges: Access to both the Chalet Area and the Exhibition Area.
  • Air Crew Badges: Access to the Tarmac Area.
Ans: Exhibitors must raise a request to the DEO for Air Crew and Ground Crew Badges. These badges will be issued only after the request has been processed by the DEO.
Ans: The 5 steps for getting ticket is given below:
  • Register on Aero India portal as visitor.Login on Aero India portal with username(email given during registration) and Password
  • Purchase Pass to purchase business/general passes/ADVA passes for the Aero India 2025.
  • Fill details in passes purchased.
  • Approve the details as filled in the passes.
  • Download pass after approving the details.

NOTE: It is mandatory to fill & Approve details of person visiting aero india 2025 for downloading passes.

Ans: Business/general visitor ticket can be bought from the website. Presently tickets are not available on website and are likely to available from 01 Jan 2025 on Aero India website.
Ans: The ADVA pass allows access to only Aero Display Visual Area while General visitor pass provides access to the exhibition area and the Air Display Visual Area.
Ans: Business visitor passes are for business days (10-12 February 2025) at INR 5000 for Indian nationals and USD 150 for Foreign nationals and general passes are for Public Days (13 & 14 February 2025) at INR 2500 for Indian nationals and for USD 50 for Foreign nationals.
Ans: There are no driver badges. Vehicle sticker may be purchased which allows only access to parking area.
Ans: Vehicle sticker are available for exhibitors and will provide access to designated parking area.
Ans: Each Exhibitor will receive two Inaugural Event invites and 01 Dinner Invite. The number of invites will be increased on Pro-rata basis for multiples of 50Sqm. Additionally, for space booked by Agencies on behalf of multiple exhibitors co-located in a Pavilion, each Indirect/Co-exhibitors will receive 01 Inaugural and 01 Dinner invite on Complimentary basis.
Ans: Shell-space will include three sides partition, fascia name, floor covering, six lights, one 5/15 AMP socket, one trash bin, table with three chairs and carpeting.
